WINSLOW – Anna Althea Dionne Vigue, 78, passed away from cancer Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, in Waterville. She was formerly of Winslow and Orono, and was presently a resident of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville. She was born July 2, 1927, in Lincoln, the daughter of George and Alice (Curran) Currier. She attended schools in Lincoln and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy. In Sept. 1946, she married Donald Dionne Sr., of Millinocket and had five children. Anna loved dancing, and became a dance instructor in tap, jazz, and ballroom dancing for most of her life. She taught in Millinocket, East Millinocket, Lincoln, Old Town, Orono and Bangor. She loved her work and her pupils. Her recitals were always exceptional and the pride and joy of her life. Her husband, Don, always loved to help with the props for the recitals, which was always a total family event. In later years, after the loss of her husband, she moved to Winslow, and then married Edmond Vigue. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church of Winslow. Many loved ones have predeceased Anna, her husband, Donald Dionne Sr.; husband, Edmond Vigue; parents, George and Alice Currier; daughter, Ann Marie; daughter, Paula Martin; brothers, Gardiner, Linwood, Carlton, Lawrence; sisters, Patricia, who died at a very young age and Lucille Currier; grandson, Adam Free; and great-grandson, Levi, both who died at a very young age. Her survivors include a son, Donald Dionne Jr. of Hampden; daughters, Patricia Treadwell and husband, Steve, of Madison, Paulette Free and fianc?, Ron McComb, of Veazie; stepson, Dana and wife, Barbara, of Waterville; stepdaughter, Loren West and husband, Brian, of Winslow; sisters, Loyola Albert of Lincoln and Dolores Madore and husband, Leo, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-children; seven stepgrandchildren; 11 great-stepgrandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr presiding. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at the church after the committal service. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Waterville.
