HARRINGTON – Annie Bernice Faulkner, 87, passed away Dec. 19, 2005, at Courtland Rehab and Living Center in Ellsworth. She was born March 28, 1918, the daughter of the late Irving and Gladys (Brooks) McHatton. Bernice worked many years packing fish in the fish factory. She also worked several years for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Get Together Club of Harrington, the American Legion Auxiliary in Cherryfield and the Osceola Grange in Harrington. She loved knitting, crocheting and playing Beano. She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching baseball and basketball. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Smith and her husband, Eugene and Jessie McHatton; son-in-law, Lewis Emerson and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Faulkner Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Lee Tenney; daughter, Lynn Emerson; son, Leonard Faulkner Jr.; brother, Dean McHatton; and sisters, Ethel McNutt, Margarete Carter and Asta McHatton. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Steuben Village Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bernice’s memory to the Courtland Activity Fund, 42 Bucksport Rd., Ellsworth, ME 04605. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Homes, Milbridge.
