PRESQUE ISLE – Annie E. Elwell, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Presque Isle, the daughter of William W. and Annie Elizabeth (Parker) Norsworthy. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Cary Medical Center, Caribou and at the Presque Isle Nursing Home. Annie was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. She is survived by a special nephew, Thomas Norsworthy and his wife, Carolyn, of Presque Isle; nieces, Opal Abbott of Texas, Ruth Learn of New York, and Vicki Harris of Presque Isle; several other nieces, nephews, several great-nieces, great-nephews, 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Elton Elwell, Feb. 4, 1986; four brothers, Thomas, Warren, Jasper and Albert Norsworthy; and two sisters, Elva Dickson and Grace Harris. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will held in the spring at Fairmont Cemetery with the Rev. William Arthur Harris III officiating.
