ELLSWORTH – Annie E. Mulhern, 70, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died July 31, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born on July 12, 1924, in Ellsworth, daughter of William M. and Mary E. “Gray” McFarland. Annie was a sales representative for Avon Products for 35 years. She loved having her grandchildren around and also enjoyed beano and playing cards. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ellsworth Fire Department for many years. Annie is survived by three sons, Charles Mulhern and wife, Karen, Richard Mulhern and wife, Mildred, both from Ellsworth, and William Mulhern and wife, Deborah, of Surry; two daughters, Marilyn Sincyr and friend, Wayne French and Joyce Allen and friend, Robert Brien, all of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Mulhern; and a brother, William McFarland. Friends may visit with the family 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A graveside funeral will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth. If friends desire, they may make a contribution in Annie’s memory to the Ellsworth Fire Department, care of Robert McKinney.
