KITTERY POINT – Antoria Dahlen (Grant) Wright, 74, of Tenney Hill Road in Kittery Point, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at York Hospital, following a two month courageous battle with cancer, with her loving and devoted husband and daughters along with their families at her side day and night. She was born in Stockholm, Sept. 30, 1930, the daughter of Andrew and Magndild (Myhr) Dahlen. She attended schools in Stockholm, and Patten Academy when her family moved to Patten. She married her first love at a young age, a boy from the neighboring town of Crystal, David Grant. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Kittery Point where they raised two daughters. When the girls grew older, Antoria trained and became a cosmetologist, and operated a salon, which her husband, David constructed in their home. She attended the First Christian Church in Kittery Point and was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the AMICUS Club. She is survived by her loving husband whom she wed on May 11, 1991, Bob Wright; her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Eric Fillion, Laurie Dewhurst and Steve Sawyer; grandchildren, Troy Dewhurst and his wife, Kristen, Jeff Dewhurst, Chad Fillion, and Paige Fillion; great-grandchildren, Phenix and Drake Dewhurst, and twins, Aubrie and Torrie Fillion; her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Ofelia Dahlen; sisters, Karen Dahlen Hall, of Patten, and Connie Dahlen Jones, of Freeport, Maine, many nieces and nephews and her beloved lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her parents, and husband, David Grant. Antoria was a kind, generous, and accepting friend, with a keen sense of humor. She enjoyed vacations in Nashville with her husband, going out to eat with her husband and friends and family, her Christmas Eve open house, which she especially enjoyed this past year, and most of all, she treasured the time spent with her very close and loving family. She will be deeply and forever missed by all who knew her. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at York Hospital who provided such compassionate care to her and her family. A funeral will be celebrated 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005, at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, ME 03904.
