BREWER and BANGOR Ardis A. Joslyn, wife of the late Russell Joslyn, died June 12, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Weston, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Reed) Gellerson. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Goss of Holden, and Trella Girroir of Newport; two sons, Malcolm Joslyn of Middleton, R.I., and Donald Joslyn of Port Orange, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Aura Robinson of Westbrook, Stella Smith of Elliott, Olive Burleigh of Bolton, Conn., Phyllis Clark of Glenburn; one brother, Ronald “Bud” Gellerson of Bangor; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ardis was predeceased by four sisters, Ione Smith, Nina Carbone, Doris Fitz and Freda Rose; one daughter, Jane Lawson; grandson, Jay Lawson; great-granddaughter, Meagan Girroir; son-in-law, Ray Girroir; daughter-in-law, Betty Joslyn and a special friend, Frank Boynton. Ardis was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by her large loving family and many wonderful friends. Her family offers a special thank you to St. Joseph Hospital and Brewer Rehab for all their care, love and compassion. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Gregory Dubois, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating. Burial will be at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden.
