WINTERPORT – Arlene E. Woodman, 85, wife of the late Freemont H. Woodman, went peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior April 8, 2007, while at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Searsport, the daughter of Atwood C. and Mary Estella (Doliber) Moody. Arlene was a graduate of Frankfort High School and had lived most of her life in Winterport. She was always a religious lady and enjoyed listening to Soul’s Harbor and Pastor Ronnie Libby. Arlene was always busy and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God. Arlene was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Freemont, April 4, 2003. She is survived by one son, Atwood C. Woodman and his wife, Daisy, of Winterport; one daughter, Mary Estella Campbell and her husband, Ashley, of Frankfort; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Ronnie Libby officiating. Interment later in the spring will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Swanville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Winterport Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 559, Winterport, ME 04496.
