BRADLEY – Arlene M. Jackson, 104, passed away peacefully early Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at an Old Town nursing facility. She was born May 3, 1899, in Bradley, the daughter of the late George and Lena (Guay) Shorette. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Bradley and was employed at the American Woolen Mill for 15 years. She was a member and faithful communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bradley. Arlene was an active member of the Ladies of St. Ann, the Old Town Senior Citizens Club and an honored holder of the “Gold Cane” in Bradley. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Lizzotte and her husband, Walter, of Old Town; five grandchildren, Janet Bruehl, Michael Lizzotte, Timothy Lizzotte, Mark Latno and Moses Latno; five great-grandchildren, Melanie True, Jaret Lizzotte, Joshua Lizzotte, Justin Lizzotte and Don Libby; three great-great-grandchildren, Riley Francis, Sophia Libby and Emma Libby. She was predeceased by her husband, Moses; a daughter, Carlista Latno; seven siblings, Leon, Allie, Victor, Harold, Raymond, Evelyn and Lawrence. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bradley with the Rev. Paul Kerns celebrant.
