ELLSWORTH – Arlene M. Levesque, 67, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Trenton, the daughter of Charles H. and Gertrude M. (Boulier) Springer. Arlene was employed for many years at County Ambulance and was a registered nurse at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Agape House, Collier’s Nursing Home, and Courtland Rehabilitation and Living Center, all in Ellsworth. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ellsworth. Arlene enjoyed gardening, knitting and baking. She is survived by five sons, Edward W. Barr and his wife, Tressie, of Hobart, Okla., Thomas Barr and his wife, Carolyn, of Haskell, Texas, David Levesque and his wife, Susan, of Newcastle, Jonathan Levesque and his wife, Christina, of Town Hill and Michael S. Levesque and his wife, Joy, of Southwest Harbor; four sisters, Velma Howard and her husband, Merle, and Thelma Doane, all of Cardville, Lillian Welch of Orono, Roberta McLean and her husband, Peter, of Old Town; a brother, Donald R. Springer of Henderson, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by a son, William Vital Levesque; a brother, Charles H. Springer Jr.; and a sister, Alice Stewart. Friends are invited to visit with the family 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will commence 11 a.m. Committal services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Cardville Cemetery, Cardville.
