VAN BUREN – Armand C. Boucher, 76, died Nov. 10, 2004, at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born in Van Buren, Jan. 1, 1928, the son of Ernest “Pit” and Alphonsine (Marquis) Boucher. Armand was employed as a commercial painter and foreman for Logan Painting Contractors for many years. He was a member of the Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council 1635 of Van Buren. Armand was very active with the local Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops for many years. He is survived by his wife, Robertine (Lavoie) Boucher of Van Buren; three daughters, Kathleen Parent and her husband, Donald, of Van Buren, Maxine Nelson and her husband, Lars, of Islesboro, Diane Boucher of Hartford, Conn.; three sons, Roger Boucher and his wife, Judy, of Byron, Michael Boucher and his wife, Betty, of Islesboro, James Boucher and companion, Michelle Harmon, of Orrington; one brother, Claude Boucher of Van Buren; one sister, Fernande Boucher of Brunswick; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson, Alex Boucher in 2000; and by a brother, Ovide Boucher. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward the purchase of needed medical equipment to benefit area patients, in care of Bill Flagg, Cary Medical Center, 163 Van Buren Rd., Caribou, ME 04736.
