HANCOCK – Arthur L. “Tookie” Page Sr., 75, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at an Ellsworth health care facility, after a prolonged illness. He was born Nov. 24, 1930, in Hancock, the son of the late Lessie and Harry Lounder Sr. Arthur attended schools in Hancock and Sullivan and graduated from Sullivan High School in 1949. Tookie enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. He worked for Consolidated Lobster Pound and Tidal Falls Lobster Pounds for several years as a truck driver. Later he was employed by Ellsworth Builders Supply of Ellsworth and Town Hill, for 21 years working as a delivery driver. Tookie was a little league coach in Hancock for more than 20 years, touching the lives of many children. He also enjoyed and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his camp at Baker Brook, Township 28. He shared 51 years of marriage with Amelia (Crowley) Page of Hancock. In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Harold Page and his wife, Brenda, of Sorrento, Buck Page and his wife, Debbie, of Lamoine and Michael Page and his wife, Kathy, of Hancock; six grandchildren, Hillary, Whitney, Erica, Meghan, Danielle and Carie; one great-grand-daughter, Madisyn; eight siblings, Ernest Page, Helen Norwood, Andrew Lounder, Gertrude Lounder, Nancy Wright, Harry Lounder Jr., Edith Lounder and Pamela Crowley. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.
