HOULTON – Arvella Bickford, 73, of Houlton, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Bangor. She was born Sept. 11, 1931, in Monticello, the daughter of Byron and Virgie (Duley) Hotham. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by eight children, Stephen J. and his wife, Rebecca Graham, Joel D. Graham, all of Houlton, Paul D. and his wife, Tammy Graham, of Littleton, Bruce F. and his wife, Sue Graham, of Blaine, Kevin L. Graham and his fianc?e, Crystal, of Houlton, Bret S. Graham of Monticello, Heather M. and her husband, Hal Maker, and Holly and her husband, Scott Ross, all of Houlton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Hotham and his family of Connecticut; close friends, Lorie Graham, and Robert and Virginia Brewster. She was predeceased by two husbands, John Graham and Arnold Bickford; one sister, Ruth King; and two brothers, Darrell and Dana Hotham. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with funeral service being held 1 p.m. Friday. Spring interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery in Monticello.
