In Loving Memory Of AURELE J. MICHAUD June 14, 1947 – May 11, 1990 Cries of the Loons, sounds of the water splashing on the shore, canoes going by, Laughter of folks sitting by the campfire – compliments for those who caught the biggest fish that day or reminiscing of days gone by. The smell of steaks being cooked and the burning campfire with its big red flames warming some of us. Today, we couldn’t miss seeing the silver jets flying so high in the clear blue sky leaving their long white tails behind reminding us of the love you had for your country, the war you fought in Vietnam leaving you troubled. You are free from that now… and we understand, we are proud of you and what you stood for… Yes, this place is Umsaskis Lake, Allagash Waterway. We are connected here… we feel close to God… we feel close to you, Aurele because you were with us many times in the past enjoying and relaxing in this beautiful place. Fourteen years have passed by since you have gone home to Our Heavenly Father… seems like yesterday and yet so much has happened since. Your two young teenage daughters and your eleven year old son are adults now… you would be proud of them and Pepere Michaud you would be because we now have a lovely little granddaughter, Ella. We love you, we miss you… till we meet again please watch over us… Your Family and Friends
