AVERN PERLEY HATCH SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Avern Perley Hatch, 52, loving husband of Janice Dawn Hatch died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Hatch was born May 24, 1951, in Lincoln, the son of Elva E. Hatch of Summerville, S.C. and the late Perley A. Hatch. He was a graduate of Penobscot Valley High School, Howland, and Trident Technical College, Charleston, S.C. He served in the U.S. Air Force as Flight Engineer. He was a nurse with Specialty Hospital of Charleston, S.C. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are daughter, Lynn Marie Sension of Bangor; three sons, Erik Avern Hatch of Bangor, Shaun Paul Hatch and Matthew Avern Hatch, both of Summerville, S.C.; daughter, Michelle Lee Hatch of Summerville, S.C.; brother, Paul R. Hatch of Skowhegan; sisters, Patricia “Pat” Merrill of Houlton, Kay A. Greenleaf of Bangor; grandchildren, Desiree Hatch, Bianca Hatch and Caleb Sension, all of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, until the time of the service at 12 noon at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville, S.C. Burial will be held at a later date in West Enfield Cemetery, West Enfield.
