ELLINGTON, MANCHESTER and TOLLAND, Conn. – Azilda A. Austin, 94, of Ellington, Conn., beloved wife of the late Romeo Austin, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Manchester Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Kent, she was the daughter of the late Levite and Margurite (Corbin) Pinette. She went to Connecticut in 1943 and had lived in Manchester and Tolland before settling in Ellington, Conn., where she was a communicant of St. Luke Church. Azilda enjoyed the staff and friends during the many hours she spent at the Woodlake Adult Daycare. She leaves her children, Joan A. Tuxbury and her husband, Erwin, of Silver Springs, Fla., Janice S. Miller and her husband, Robert, of Ocala, Fla., Dana R. Austin and his wife, Janet, of Mansfield Center, Conn., Jean R. Forman of Chicopee, Mass., and Joyce B. Austin of Ellington, Conn.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Rita Pinette of East Hartford, Conn., and Bernice Gervascio of Bradenton, Fla.; her brothers, Sylvio Pinette of East Hartford, Conn., and Reynolds Pinette of Manchester, Conn.; many nieces and nephews; and lifetime friends, Connie and Gina Colosimo. She was predeceased by her sisters, Priscilla Caron, Evelyn Plourde and Jeanne Miville; her brother, Legorie Pinette; granddaughter, Michele Muten; and son-in-law, James Forman. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Route 83, Vernon, Conn. The funeral procession will leave 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, from the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 141 Maple St., Route 140, Ellington, Conn. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester, Conn.
