PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Barbara Barker (Johnston) McDowell, 68, died Dec. 28, 2005, at Mease Countryside Hospital. Born in Fort Fairfield, moved here in 1991 from Arlington, Va. Worked for the Worship Network as segment host on Worship for Kids’ “Grandma Mac” /prayer partner/receptionist. Associate member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Clearwater, Fla. She is survived by two sons, Brent Johnston of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Matthew Johnston of Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Julie Johnston of Clearwater, Fla., Mako Johnston of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Mary Johnston of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Glenda Barnes of Fort Fairfield; six grandchildren; fiance (companion), Jerry Ranostaj of Clearwater, Fla.
