WEST SWANZEY, N.H. – Barbara Ardine-Currie-LaPointe died Nov. 4, 2004, after a long illness, in Swanzey, N.H. She was born Aug. 4, 1940. Barbara was a graduate of Howland High School. She also attended schools in Lewiston and Bangor and was a graduate of Hartford Airline Personnel and Clerical School, Hartford, Conn. She retired from Verizon Telephone Company. She formally resided in Boynton Beach, Fla. She was predeceased by parents, Victor Ardine Sr. and Katherine Bishop-Ardine; adoptive parents, Chester C. Currie and Della Hatch-Currie. May their souls rest in peace. Barbara was also predeceased by a former husband, Rodger LaPointe; a sister, Pauline Ardine-Carr; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford Ardine and Ruth Ardine; a sister-in-law, Gloria Currie; a sister-in-law, Nancy Ardine; and three nephews, James, Gary and Thomas LaPointe. Survivors include a son, Craig and wife, Dawn LaPointe, of Winchester, N.H., Kim Marie LaPointe of Salem, Mass., Sheila and husband, Brian Colburn, of Swanzey, N.H.; four grandsons, Cory Colburn, Keith Colburn, Chad LaPointe, Andr? LaPointe-Thomas; two granddaughters, Emily LaPointe and Jean? LaPointe; and one great-grandson, Michael Colburn; several siblings, a brother, Victor Ardine Jr. of Winn; a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Helen Ardine of Framingham, Mass., sister and brother-in-law, Marylou and Adrien LaPointe of Boynton Beach, Fla., brother, Frances Ardine of Howland, a brother, Reginald Ardine-Currie of Enfield, a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Judy Ardine of Saginaw, Mich., a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Alice Ardine of Bangor; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Carr of Hermon; also several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. May their souls rest in peace as we pray for them too. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at St. Bernard’s Church, 173 Main St., Keene, N.H. 03431. Gathering with refreshments will be held in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice.
