SEDGWICK – Barbara Elaine (Pert) King, 70, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at a Bangor hospital with her family at her side. She was born May 6, 1934, in Sedgwick, the daughter of James and Marion (Wood) Pert. Barbara had a great love for animals and was a soft touch for any stray or neighborhood dog looking for some extra “goodies”. She will be sadly missed not only by her family but by her beloved Persian cat, “Vic”. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Webb and her husband, Gary, of Sunset; her granddaughter, Kimberly Barrett of Portsmouth, R.I.; her brother, James Pert of Sargentville, many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Billy Reed in 1970. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at the Rural Cemetery in Sedgwick.
