CARMEL – Barbara L. Hannan, 82, wife of the late Norman B. Hannan, died March 27, 2007, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Gouldsboro, the daughter of Robert and Olive (Donovan) Hickman. Barbara was a member of the Star in the East Chapter 12 of Hampden, Golden Harvest Grange, and the Carmel Union Congregational Church. She enjoyed her friends at the Sea Food Galley, Carmel. She is survived by four children, Norman “Skip” Hannan and his wife, Clarice, of Carmel, Richard Hannan and his wife, Donna, of Levant, David Hannan and his wife, Anne, of Carmel, and Stephanie (Hannan) Morang of Winterport; nine grandchildren, Sherri, Tracy, Lori, Tanya, Michael, David, Jason, Jesse, and James; six great-grand-children, Hannah, Ella, Jakob, Haylie, Colby, and Kayden; two brothers, Russell Hickman and Sonny Hickman; two sisters, Leona Phillips and Elaine Dye; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Fulton and Elwin; and one sister, Norma.
