SEAL HARBOR – Harriett F. (Elliott) Jordan, 96, wife of the late Colgate S. Jordan, died March 23, 2007, in Bar Harbor. She was born Dec. 29, 1910, the youngest of four daughters to Frank E. and Eva M. (Stuart) Elliott. She enjoyed walking on the carriage roads, picking wildflowers, and picking blueberries, cranberries and the raspberries in her backyard. Harriett enjoyed reading and watching several soap operas, until her eyesight went bad. Harriett is survived by her older son, Frank Edwin Jordan and wife, Grace, of Omaha, New Brunswick, and their daughter, Kimberly Ann Hatfield of Tarply, Texas; and Kimberly’s children, Christopher A. Herzog and Jessica Herzog; and Kimberly’s grandson, Cameron Herzog, Harriett’s only great-great-grandchild, and Donna Marie Jordan of Omaha, New Brunswick. She is also survived by her daughter, Patricia (Jordan-Alley-Phillips) Jordan and her children, Donald E. Alley and partner, Cynthia O’Neil, of Bar Harbor, Dale E. Alley and wife, Debbe, of Palmyra, and his daughter, Jesse Pomroy, and Mary E. (Alley-Osborne) Blaschke, and her husband, Mark, and her children, Adam Stuart Osborne of Veazie and Ariel Lynne Osborn of Sidney. Harriett is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her older sisters, Maude E. Beale, Edna E. Timbers and Alice E. Huntzinger; and her younger son, Stuart Elliott Jordan. A private burial will be held May 11, at Seal Harbor Cemetery, 17 years after her husband, Colgate was buried. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
