LARGO, Fla. – Barbara P. Bourgoyne, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004. She was born July 22, 1927, in Bangor, the daughter of Roland Patterson and Isabelle Bridges Cunningham of Bangor and Verona Island. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and attended Husson College. In 1949 she married Alphonse Bourgoyne and had seven children. Her husband died before her in 1961. She then established and operated Towne and Country Fashion Shop in the Broadway Shopping Plaza until she relocated to Largo, Fla. in 1974. She attended the University of South Florida as a physics major and pursued her love of sculpting, painting and culinary arts. She is survived by all seven children, John Richard Bourgoyne of Foxboro, Mass., Karen Bowling and husband, Larry, of Danville, Va., Anne Beveridge and husband, Robert, of Kingsbury, N.Y., Roland J. Bourgoyne of St. Petersburg, Fla., Joseph M. Bourgoyne and wife, Debbie, of Largo, Fla., Jane Kenny of Bucksport, and Beth Fenstermacher and husband, David, of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Michael, Carrie Ann, Scott, Stephanie, Jerry, Jenna, Barbara, Abbey, and Sadie; five great-grand-children, Cordell, Alexis, Jaeden, Brooke, and Nathan. She was predeceased by her only sister, Shirley Lawrence, who was her best friend and confidant. By her request, there will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Bangor in the spring.
