BREWER – Beatrice A. “Bea” Wentworth, 90, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Brewer, the daughter of the late Fred N. and Mertie A. (Gordon) Seely. Bea was a member of Brewer High School, Class of 1934. As a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brewer since childhood, she was active in the Women’s Bible Fellowship and the Francis Gilbert League. She was a wonderful seamstress and exceptional cook who will be remembered for her great love of flowers, but most importantly for her loving devotion to her family. Bea was predeceased by her husband, J. Edward Went-worth in 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry A. Cross and her husband, Frank E., of Lincoln, Dianne M. Ther-iault and her husband, Roger E., of Bangor; one son, John E. Wentworth of Bangor; five grandchildren, six great-grand-children, one great-great-grandchild, 11 nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Lyford of Brewer and Isabel Wentworth of Milford. Family and friends may visit 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A memorial service will be held later in the spring when flowers are in bloom.
