PERHAM – Beatrice McBreairty Burout, 90, passed away peacefully July 7, 2008, at her home after a short illness. She was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Perham, daughter of the late Guy and Nettie (Brewer) Butterfield. Beatrice was an accomplished seamstress and loved to knit and crochet, as her family can attest to by the many cherished blankets, afghans and sweaters she made for them. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Perham and she never wavered from her faith. Beatrice was a member of Perham Friendship Club, where she will be missed very much. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered by all her knew her. Beatrice was predeceased by her first husband, Lewis A. McBreairty, whom she married in 1936; and her second husband, Charles Burout, whom she married in 1957. She is survived by two daughters, Birdena McBreairty Cochran of Perham and Beverly McBreairty Brady of Plymouth; one son and daughter-in-law, Reginald and Sandra McBreairty of Lafayette, Ind.; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her family is very proud of her and feel blessed to have had her as their inspiration through-out the years. She was predeceased by three brothers, Claude, Milford and Gilford Butterfield; and two grandchildren, Bruce and Becky Cochran. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Perham Baptist Church with the Rev. David Goupille officiating.
