ELLSWORTH – Benedict F. “Benny” Starbuck Jr., 23, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 4, 2006, at an Ellsworth hospital as the result of an automobile accident. He was born April 13, 1982, in Baltimore, Md., the son of Benedict and Debbie (Carter) Starbuck. Benny attended Ellsworth schools and graduated from Ellsworth High School, Class of 2001. While in school, Benny was an active participant with the soccer and basketball teams. He was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Town Hill. Benny is survived by his parents of Ellsworth; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Carter of Ellsworth; aunts and uncles, Paula Rosier and Diane Stefanik, both of Baltimore, Md., Claudia Carter of Rockland, Phillip and Karen Stearns of Westbrook, Kenneth and Brenda Carter of Ellsworth, Luann and Larry Voisine of Ellsworth, Lori and Brent Whitney of Eastbrook; several cousins and many friends. He will also be missed by special friends, Jeremiah Smith, John St. Hillare, the Rev. David Cook, Patti and Faye Boles and family. Benny is predeceased by grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Starbuck and Norman Carter. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, with the Rev. Michael Cox, officiating.
