SOUTH BERWICK – Benjamin “Ben” D. Perry, 32, of Farmgate Road, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, after a period of failing health. He was born Feb. 17, 1975, in Ellsworth, the son of Dennis and Joyce (Morse) Perry. He graduated from Sumner Memorial High School, Sullivan, where he lettered in soccer and basketball. Ben then graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1999. He started his teaching career at East Grand School, Danforth, then, Poland Regional High School, Poland and he taught at Traip Academy, Kittery. Ben coached basketball, baseball and soccer. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, movies and music in his leisure time. Members of the family include his wife, Jessica M. (Lawrence) Perry; his parents of Sorrento; a sister, Erin and her husband, Daniel Eggers, of Sudbury, Mass.; his maternal grandmother, Eva Lillian Morse of Windham; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Y. Perry of Sorrento; nephews, Lucas and Duncan Eggers of Sudbury, Mass. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at First Parish Federated Church, Academy Street, South are under the Berwick.
