TITUSVILLE, FLA. – Bernice Lillian (Anderson) Hedman, 84, died Dec. 12, 2004, of congestive heart failure at a Titusville health facility. She was born June 30, 1920, in Stockholm, the daughter of Carlton and Christina Anderson (Swenson). Bernice was a member of First Baptist Churches of Stockholm, New Sweden, and Titusville, Fla. She attended Stockholm Elementary School, Stockholm High School and graduated from Caribou High School in 1937. Bernice was a registered nurse for 44 years at several health facilities in Massachusetts, Maine and Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband of four years, Elmo Sodergren, in 1946; and her second husband of 34 years, Raymond Hedman, in 1982; her 14-year-old daughter, Joyce, in 1965; sisters, Signe Olivenbaum of New Sweden and Warrena Anderson of Stockholm; brothers, Winfred Anderson of Cocoa, Fla., Kenneth Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Harold Anderson of Stockholm. She is survived by sisters, Hazel Brunelle of Worcester, Mass., Inez McNabb of Salt Springs, Fla., Sylvia Nylund of Port Richey, Fla., Evelyn Clisham of Hampden; brothers, Mallet Anderson of Pittsburgh, N.H.; and Perley Anderson of Zephyrhills, Fla.; children, Daniel Hedman of Kansas City, Kan., Pauline Nelson of Pembroke, John E. Hedman of Washburn, and Berna Gunnerson of Titusville, Fla.; grandchildren, Tammie Martin, Julie Nelson, Nils Nelson, Penny Pierce, Chad Hedman and Kristin Gunnerson; as well as seven great-grandchildren and 26 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at North Brevard Funeral Home, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
