PERRY and WISCASSET – Bertha Francena (Taylor) Lee, 85, went to be with the Lord April 21, 2006, surrounded by her family and friends in her daughters house in Wiscasset. Bertha was born May 14, 1920, in Princeton, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Madeline (Johnson) Taylor. She worked at different jobs during her lifetime, including Holmes Fish Factory in Eastport as a packer, a machinist in Connecticut, and as a server/hostess at Matties Restaurant in Westbrook. Bertha was a member of Perry Bible Fellowship for many years, and recently the Open Bible Baptist Church in Bath. She was a Gideon member and enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her two sisters, Jackie and Dora. Bertha was predeceased by a sister, Marguerite Trott; and a brother, Bud Taylor. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Gerald Lee; two children, Roy Lee and wife, Leah, of Eastport, and Winifred “Winnie” Musolff and husband, Steven, of Wiscasset; two sisters, Jacqueline Griffin of Calais and Dora DiRenzo and husband, John, of Westbrook; a brother, William Taylor and wife, Sue, of Gallavance Fairy, S.C.; five grandchildren, Roiann Chabot, Danny Lee, Michelle Marsh, and Amanda and Samuel Musolff; a great-granddaughter, Lydia Lee; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Mays Funeral Home-Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Perry Bible Fellowship with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating.
