DEXTER and ORONO – Beryl V. Wade, 78, died Oct. 25, 2004, at an Orono nursing home. She was born Aug. 8, 1926, at Livermore Falls, but moved to Dexter with her family at a young age. She was the daughter of Charles and Wilmina (Foster) Wade. She is survived by several cousins, including Benjamin Littlefield of Farmington. Beryl was predeceased by her father in 1975; her mother in 1989; and her brother, Herbert Wade in 1993. The staff at Orono Commons sent the following message to be included in the obituary: Beryl passed on Oct. 25, 2004, at “home”, the Orono Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was a member of the family on the Maple/Oak Wing. There are many wonderful, happy, and funny stories that the staff have shared, remembering her colorful coordinated red and purple wardrobe, her requests for coffee and her favorite sweets, chocolate ice cream and gingerbread. She would light up a room with her beautiful smile, and then bring on laughter with her sense of humor. Her most special gift she shared was her loving, warm and sincere hugs. Thank you Beryl, from your “Family”. Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, with Pastor A. Maurice Neal officiating. Burial will be in the family lot, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made to the Orono Commons Activity Fund, P.O. Box 430, Orono, ME 04473.
