LINCOLN – Betty Jane McKinnon, 71, passed away peacefully July 20, 2008, surrounded by her loved ones at a local nursing facility. She was born Feb. 21, 1937, the daughter of Arthur L. and Edna (Jordan) Bowker. Betty worked as a retail associate in the same building on Main Street, but for three different businesses: Stratton’s Department Store, Wilson’s and finally, Aubuchon Hardware. Upon her retirement it was the joy of her life tending to her great-grandchildren and “granddogs.” She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Walter McKinnon; infant sons, Rod-erick and Scott McKinnon; bro-ther, Halton Bowker Sr.; and nephew, Halton Bowker Jr. Betty is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hanscom and husband, Bill; granddaughter, Jen-nifer Coffin and husband, TJ; grandson, Kyle Hanscom and wife, Amy; great-grandchil-dren, Maranda Mason, Emma Hanscom, Andrew Hanscom and Alissa Coffin; brother, Stanley Bowker Sr. and wife, Evelyn, all of Lincoln; nephew, Stanley Bowker Jr. and wife, Sharon; niece, Debbie Goodwin and family; and nephew, Michael Bowker and wife, Kelly and family.
