CORINNA – Agnes G. Simons, 93, died July 20, 2008, at a Dexter health care facility after a long illness. She was born April 6, 1915, in Pemberton, N.J., the daughter of John and Luella (Denis) Grover. She was educated in New Jersey schools. Agnes moved to Maine in 1950 and worked with her husband, Russell, on the family farm. She took care of her family, and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She is survived by one sister, Pearl Perrine of Browns Mills, N.J.; her granddaughter and husband, Deborah and Daylan Parks of Corinna; her grandson, Alan Hatch of Levant; two great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grand-children. Agnes always looked forward to visits from her special nieces in New Jersey. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell; her daughter, Doris Lancaster; and her son, Russell Simons Jr. Friends may call 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, Newport. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Corinna Center Cemetery with Pastor Al Worden officiating.
