STOCKTON SPRINGS – Bobby John Hileman Sr. went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ March 6, 2005. He was 62 years old. He fought a good fight, he finished the race, and he remained faithful. Now the prize is his. Bob was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (Quimby). He was a man of strength, resourcefulness and simplicity. Bob was greatly loved by his daughter, Theresa Hileman Gaffney, and her husband, Tom, of Stockton Springs; and his son, Bobby J. Hileman Jr., of Orland; a son, Charles Allen Hileman, predeceased him in 2000. His grandchildren were the joy of his life: Mathew John Hileman, of Orland; Tyler Clarence Emms, of Fort Worth, Texas; Amanda Louise Hileman, of Panama City, Fla.; Galen and Christian Gaffney, Chelsea Dawn and Whitney Jean-Hileman Emms, all of Stockton Springs. Bob was born in West Virginia, one of 11 children of Benjamin and Ollie Hileman. Surviving siblings are Greenway Hileman of West Virginia, Virginia Roberts and Rosie Chapman of Dunnelon, Fla., Arthur Hileman of McArthur, Ohio, and Fred Hileman of Cleveland, Ohio. A host of loving family members and wonderful friends shall miss him dearly. Richard and Marnie Lord of Orland, and several hunting buddies will greatly miss him come hunting and fishing season. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Safe Harbor Church, Rt. 1, Searsport. Reception to follow at the Stockton Springs Community Church Hall.
