BANGOR and SHERMAN – Boyd A. McNally, 66, passed away on Feb. 12, 2004, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Sherman, the son of Robert McNally Sr. and Olive Connor. Boyd was a graduate of Patten Academy. He was a locomotive engineer and worked for Maine Central Railroad for 25 years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, the Bangor Lodge No. 244 BPO Elks, The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3177, the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association, and the Coldstream Horseshoe Club of Enfield. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Rogers of Bangor; one daughter and three sons, Holly McNally and her children, Krista, Ginger and Caleb Cole all of East Millinocket; Barry and Georgia McNally of Sherman, and their daughter, Michelle and her husband, Andrew Dicentes of Auburn; Brad and Joanna McNally and their daughter, Jillian of Brewer; Burt and Kathy McNally and their children, Brady and Bailey McNally; and Jared Embelton, all of Sherman; one sister, Sandra Noonan of Patten; three brothers, Ora McNally of Sherman Station, Wendall McNally of Brewer, and Bruce McNally of Hersey; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Ethel Gliddon, Veda Kelley Hucksom, Robert McNally Jr. and Errol McNally. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. Norm Rust officiating.
