MONTICELLO – Brad “4-Speed” Flewelling, 23, died Nov. 16, 2005, in Maryland, as a result of a tractor trailer accident. He was born Aug. 19, 1982, in Houlton, the son of Ronald A. and Paula (Young) Flewelling Jr. Brad was a graduate of Houlton High School, Class of 2001. He completed SAVE Region 2 Truck Driving Course in July 2001 and went to work driving truck for Down Home Transport and Barrett Westerdahl. In March 2004, he was self-employed with his father and brothers, at Ronnie Flewelling Jr. and Sons. Brad is survived by his parents; three brothers, Justin P. Flewelling, Matthew R. Flewelling and Michael D. Flewelling, all of Monticello; maternal grandparents, Paul and Greta Young of Bridgewater; paternal grandfather, Ronald A. Flewelling Sr. of Monticello; several aunts, uncles and cousins; many friends and special highway heroes and two sisters of the heart, Alisha and Bethany Targonski. He was predeceased by his beloved paternal grandmother, Mabel A. Flewelling. A memorial service and celebration of Brad’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Wellington School in Monticello. Interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery.
