DANFORTH – Hilma M. Lee, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln. Born Feb. 15, 1920, in Bancroft, she was the daughter of William Gillis and Zena (Lee) Gillis McKay. Hilma graduated from Danforth High School in 1940. She worked at Aroostook Hospital in Houlton and the University of Maine as a nutrition aid, retiring in 1985. She was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge, a member of the Senior Citizen Group, the Danforth Extension and a past member of the Grange in Weston. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roy Lee; a son, Herbert Williams and his wife, Rose, of Molunkus; a daughter, Barbara Merritt and her husband, Roger, of Hodgdon; a brother, Ancil Gillis, of Danforth; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Maurice E. Gillis; a brother, Maurice Gillis; and a sister, Irene Cowan. Friends may call 11-1 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Rd., Danforth. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
