CHERRYFIELD – Bradley “Bear” West, 62, went home to be with his Lord June 2, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Milbridge, the son of Earland and Frances West. Brad served his country in the U.S. Navy, Army Reserves and Navy Reserves, being deployed during Desert Storm, earning many medals for his dedicated service. He was an avid woodworker. Brad especially enjoyed fishing and photography. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mona “Maudie” West; daughters, Stacy Young and husband, Stephen, of Columbia Falls and Marcy Beardsley and husband, Steve, of Harrington; four loving grandchildren, Ethan Andrew and Ryan Colby Hatt, Nathan Richard Young and Colton Bradley Beardsley; his brothers and sisters, Clyde Jordan Sr. of Jonesboro and family, Ruby Mitchell of East Holden and family, Everett West of Milbridge and family, Lena McKenney of Milbridge and family and Rena Bagley of Deblois and family; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen Worcester of Columbia Falls and family, Wendy Shank of Michigan and family, David Dow of Hermon and family, Dwight Rodgers of Corea and Carrie Dow of Cherryfield; mother-in-law, Flora Dow of Cherryfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends all of whom he loved deeply. Brad was predeceased by his loving parents; baby sister, Regina; and father-in-law, Elmer Dow. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge.
