ST. ALBANS – Brian F. Luce, 46, went to be with his earthly father and his Heavenly Father April 20, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 7, 1958, a son of Carlton and Violet (Harding) Luce. Brian attended Beal College in Bangor for two years. He was a member of the Charleston Pentecostal Church and had been employed as a security guard at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and Guilford Industries in Newport. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and was a state hunter safety instructor. In addition to his mother of Newport, he is survived by three brothers, Ronald and wife, Neva Luce, of Newport, Thomas and wife, Tammy Luce, of Stetson, Randy and wife, Ellie Luce, of East Newport; three sisters, Irene and husband, Pat Haining, of Stetson, Nancy and husband, David Sgroi, of Bangor, Frances and husband, Hien Nguyen, of Auburn; two stepchildren; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his father in 1984. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport. A family graveside committal service will be held Tuesday at the family lot, Highland Cemetery, Carmel, with Pastor William Preble officiating.
