MACHIAS – Kenneth R. Manchester, 79, a lifetime resident of Machias, died unexpectedly April 20, 2005. He was born Dec. 13, 1925, the son of the late Clyde and Phoebe Manchester. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Sharon Stackpole and her husband, Peter, Nancy Talbot and her husband, Deke, Jean Cherry and her husband, Jimmy; four grandchildren, Lindsey and Meredith Cherry and Ally and Matt Talbot; and two sisters, Pauline Huntley and Avis Manchester. He was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Manchester Jr. Ken also leaves a legacy of countless dear friends from his devoted and tireless service to the Machias community. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Machias with Father Michael Sheridan, celebrant.
