ORONO – Bryan D. Flanagan, 37, died May 17, 2007, at his home. He was born March 24, 1970, in Bloomington, Ind., the son of Larry D. and Katherine L. (Elston) Flanagan. Bryan resided in the Midwest for many years and for the past 12 years lived at Treats Falls House, Orono, and attended the Bouchea Center, Bangor. Surviving in addition to his mother of Holden and his father of Hampden, are one brother, Michael Flanagan of Colorado; one sister, Yvonne Purdy and her husband, Brad, of Salem, Mass.; a half brother, Luke Flanagan of Hampden; two half sisters, Nellie Flanagan of Hampden and Chelsea Flanagan of York; one niece, Kyra Purdy of Salem, Mass.; maternal grandparents, William and Dora Elston of West Lafayette, Ind.; special cousins, Robert Glover of Damariscotta, David Glover and his wife, Olga, of Bangor and Angela Dobson and her husband, Chris, of Naples; a special aunt, Nancy Verrill and her husband, Bruce, of Exeter; many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Midwest and California. Bryan will be especially remembered by the staff at Treats Falls and Bouchea Center, who loved and cared for him. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
