BANGOR – Carol (King) Corson, 64, beloved wife of Reed Corson, died peacefully Tuesday, July 8, 2008, with her family at her side, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. Carol was born in Potsdam, N.Y., the daughter of the late Louis R. and Mary Ruth (VanHyning) King. She worked as a receptionist in the medical field. In addition to her husband, Reed, she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Teri-Lynn Manning and her husband, Shaun, of Portland, Conn., and Kimberly Krampitz and her husband, Richard Jr., of Southington, Conn.; stepdaughter, Michelle Rice of Brewer; stepson, Mark Corson of Levant; sisters, Sandra Booth of Middletown, Conn., and Donna Duffy of East Millinocket; brothers, Ernest King of Durham, Conn., Leo J. King Jr. of Durham, Conn., and Gregory King of East Millinocket; grandchildren, Stephanie Morales, Allison and Richie Krampitz, and Mark Corson II; uncle, Ernest VanHyning Jr. of Westbrook, Conn.; numerous nieces and nephews; and special lifelong friends, Charlotte Moscone and Julie Antworth. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her. The family extends special thanks to the surgeons and caregivers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Tower 8C for the outstanding care she received while there. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middle-town, Conn., where friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mica Hill Cemetery, Durham, Conn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Juvenile Diabetes Association, P.O.
