BANGOR – Carole Anne Lindsay McLeod, 54, died Dec. 20, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Carole was adored by all who knew her. Devoted to family and friends and a trusted confidant, she was quick to provide support to others. She had a genuine passion for life and enjoyed gardening, traveling, walking, cooking, spending time with friends and family and caring for her beloved dog, Rusty. Carole is survived by many family members and friends who loved her dearly, including husband, David McLeod; daughter, Nicole Rockwell; son-in-law, Hollis Rockwell; grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Rockwell; her mother, Doris Lindsay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail Rice, Pamella and David Pierce and Barbara and Dee Hay; her father-in-law, John McLeod; children, Heather, Jonathan and Rebecca McLeod, Brucey Wright; grandchild, Dillon McLeod; and special friends, Arlene and Wayne Slade, and Heather Audet. She was predeceased by her father, Louis Lindsay; and by her mother-in-law, Marion McLeod. Carole’s family thanks the staff at the Grant 6 Oncology Ward at Eastern Maine Medical Center and CancerCare of Maine, for providing exceptional care and support. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, where funeral services will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, with refreshments and conversation after the service.
