BANGOR – Carolyn J. Tor-rance, 65, died unexpectedly Aug. 3, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Brewer, the daughter of Ira and Daisy (Grant) Cunningham. Carolyn loved to garden, read and do puzzles. She especially loved spending time with family and friends, having dinner and shopping with her daughters, visiting family out of state and going out to dinner with her friends. She was always happy and had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all. Carolyn worked for Canteen Services, Bangor, for more than 20 years and had recently retired in December 2006. She is survived by her two daughters, Tanya Torrance of Winterport and Dorene and her husband, Timothy Paradis, of Hampden; one brother, Brice Cunningham and his wife, Cheri, of Epson, N.H.; two sisters, Virginia Mitchell of Mount Desert and Sharon Walls of South Kingstown, R.I.; one very special grandson, Ethan Paradis; a special niece and her husband, Deborah Walls and Brian Briggs, of South Kingstown, R.I.; many other special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Cunningham; and her sister, Eleanor Coolidge. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport, with the Rev. Renee U. Garrett, minister of Divinity, minister of Christian Nurture, All Souls Congregational Church, Bangor, officiating.
