JONESBORO – Carolyn Jean Kilton, 64, went to be with the Lord Nov. 5, 2007. Carolyn was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Portland, special daughter of Gerald Lee Kilton and Louise Evelyn Hooper. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she was a faithful member of the Washington County Extension and Ursula Penniman Club. Carolyn had a strong faith in God and was a member of Whitneyville Congregational Church, where she was known for taking many photographs and always willing to help with any task asked of her. This gentle soul touched the lives of many with her wit, humor and warm love. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her stepfather, Barton Armstrong; brother, Colby Hillman Kilton; sister, JoAnn Kilton; sister, Patti Phifer and several special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Lee Kilton Jr. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Whitneyville Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Carolyn’s memory may be made to Whitneyville Congregational Church. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
