MASARDIS – Dorothy A. Chasse, 60, died Nov. 5, 2007, at her residence. She was born Feb. 4, 1947, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Emery and Mary (Shean) Brooker. She had been employed with McCain’s and Potato Service and most recently was the animal control officer for the Town of Masardis. Dorothy is survived by her husband, David M. Chasse of Masardis; one daughter, Kellie Syphers and her husband, Eugene “Buddy,” of Bangor; three sons, David K. Chasse of Lewiston, Terry Chasse and his wife, Heidi, of Mapleton and Jeffrey Chasse and his wife, Tammie, of Woodland; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Trista, Michael, Joshua, Matthew and Alex Chasse and Emma Syphers; one sister, Penny Churchill of Washburn; two stepbrothers, Wayne and Ted Kennard; two nieces, Wendy Brooker and Andrea Churchill; one nephew, Darren MacIvor; a very special sister-in-law, Thelma “Girlie” MacIvor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Lowell “Red” MacIvor. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. Friday until time of service at Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.
