DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Carolyn M. Farwell (Bragdon), died peacefully Feb. 24, 2006. She was born Nov. 26, 1909, in Brooksville, Mass., to Josephine (Brothers) and Charles Irving Bragdon. Carolyn attended school in Wakefield, Mass. and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1929. On April 22, 1936, she married Elliot C. Farwell and they had 59 wonderful years together. They had homes in Wakefield and Woburn, Mass., Presque Isle, Boynton Beach and Delray Beach, Fla. and spent many summers in southern Maine. Carolyn enjoyed camping, music, reading and her many friends. She loved her family and her visits with them. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Sandra F. Currier of Bangor; three grandchildren, Lynne and her husband, John England, of Falmouth, Leigh Currier of Portland, Brian and his wife, Christine, of Windham; three great-granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emma and Eva England; three nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two children, Richard in 1942 and Marcia in 1943; one sister, Gertrude Danenhower; one brother, Irving Bragdon; and stepfather, Joseph Aubin. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in the Activity Center at Abbey Delray South, with the Rev. Ronald Arflin officiating. Interment will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield, Mass. A Memorial Service will be held in Portland in the spring.
