LUBEC – Cassie L. Farrell, 93, passed away March 15, 2005, at her home. She was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Prospect Harbor. Cassie loved her cats. She also enjoyed eating out and going to yard sales. During her life, she spent much time doing benefit and fundraising work for local medical centers. Cassie delighted in recounting her family’s history for genealogy. She is survived by her children; son, James Farrell Jr. and wife, Mary, of Virginia; daughter, Eleanor Littlefield of Porter; son, Ambert Farrell and wife, Sara, of Florida; daughter, Juanita Keene and husband, Royal, of Franklin; son, David Farrell and wife, Evelyn, of Lamoine; son, Don Farrell and wife, Linda, of Lubec; and daughter, Alice Cousins and husband, Rae, of Portland; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; special cousin, Sheldon Bickford of Gouldsboro; and special friends, the McGonigal Family, the Kinney Family, and Owen Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Farrell Sr.; a son, John Farrell; and a daughter, Corrine Farrell. A graveside service will be held at a date to be announced in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
