PRESQUE ISLE – Fannie M. Goding, 87, wife of the late Ernest W. Goding, died March 15, 2005, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 7, 1918, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Ernest and Luetta (Curtis) Ryder. Fannie was a life member of the D.A.V. Women’s Auxiliary Chapter 10, the Hayward-Frazier Post No. 2599 Ladies Auxiliary, Purple Heart, and the Presque Isle Senior Citizens. Surviving her is a daughter, Nancy Jean Haley and her husband, Linwood; granddaughters, Cathy Jo, Susan Rae and Rebecca Lynn; and a great-granddaughter, Trinity Leigh, all of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Margaret Sullivan of Masardis and Mildred Bradeen of Dover, N.H. She was predeceased by seven sisters and six brothers. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Maxwell officiating. A spring interment will be in the Masardis Cemetery.
