CORINNA – Catherine B. Chute, 76, died Nov. 12, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1926, at Stetson, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Wakefield) Knights. She attended Stetson schools and worked for many years in Corinna area mills. She was also employed at Mountains of Food in Dexter, and Shorette’s Restaurant in Newport. She was a member of Corundel Riders Snowmobile Club. She is survived by two sons, Fred Harris Jr. and his wife, Sally, and Ricky Chute, all of Corinna; two daughters, Sally Chambers of Shawmut, and Ramona Brown of Hartland; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Fred Harris Sr., and Ralph Chute; and two sons, Terry Chute and Dale Harris. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local humane society or animal shelter.
