KENDUSKEAG – Cathy Sue Doughty, 33, died Dec. 11, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a tragic accident. She was born May 8, 1973, in Machias. Cathy graduated from Narraguagus High School. She was employed at Affiliated Lab, both as a receptionist, assisting with lab work, and as a phlebotomist. Cathy was a fun loving person and loved to shop and travel. She absolutely adored her daughter, Courtney, the light of her life. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Cathy had a wonderful personality and growing up with five brothers, she had her hands full. She loved playing jokes on her brothers. She enjoyed traveling and had many fond memories of trips to Florida on vacation with her husband and his family. We are all blessed to have known her and she will be sadly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Doughty of Kenduskeag; her daughter, Courtney Lynn Doughty of Kenduskeag; her parents, Ellen Burke of Bangor and her fiance, John Spox, Raymond Burke of Milbridge and his wife, Beth; brothers, Mark Burke and wife, Linda, of Milbridge, Brett Burke of Addison, Chris Burke and wife, Julie, of South Addison, Casey Burke and Charles Burke, both of Addison; her grandmother, Iona Burke of Milbridge; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind a special brother-in-law, Mathew Doughty; and many friends. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, with the Rev. Timothy Hoelzer officiating. Interment will be at Kenduskeag Cemetery, Kenduskeag.
