VAN BUREN – Cecil G. Dubay, 69, died unexpectedly Sept. 3, 2004, at his Washington Street apartment. He was born in Van Buren, July 27, 1935, the son of Joseph F. and Marguerite (Sirois) Dubay. Cecil was educated in local schools and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Simone (Violette) Dubay of Van Buren; one son, Pierre Dubay and his companion, Donna Pelletier, of Madawaska; two daughters, Cecile Sirois and her companion, Carl Maldonado, Vie Doucette and her husband, Greg, all of Van Buren; four sisters, Patricia Madore of Van Buren, Marie Larochelle and Cecile Norvick, both of Lewiston, Bernadette Glover of Rochester, N.Y.; one stepbrother, Donald Fournier of Bethpage, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Hank and Mike Sirois, Robbie and Katie Dumond, Sarah, Noelle, and Noah Dubay. He will also be missed by Larry Thibodeau; a special friend of many years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Winnifred Dubay, who raised him from the age of two; three sisters, Carlene Dean, Lillian Laplante, and Theresa Levesque. As well as being known for his keen and witty sense of humor, Cecil loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing, and was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan for many years. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou.
