BANGOR – Cecile C. Libby, 94, of Bangor and formerly of Waterville, died early Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Eastside Rehabilitation Center in Bangor. She was born Sept. 13, 1910, in Winslow, the daughter of John H. and Flora (St. Amand) Libby. Cecile had been a quality control inspector for Keyes Fibre Co. for many years, retiring in 1975. She had lived at Philips Strickland Assisted Living Center in Bangor for several years. She is survived by two nieces, Marquette and husband, Armand Nadeau, of Glenburn and Ann Gilbert of Florida; a great-nephew, John Deag of Florida; her good friends, Ron and Ruth Way of Hampden, Mrs. Philippa Pitula and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pitula, all of Glenburn. Visiting hours will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Notre Dame Church, 116 Silver St., Waterville. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville at a later date. It is requested that Masses in her memory be made to Parish of the Holy Spirit, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville, ME 04901.
